Happy Women's Day 2014

International Women's Day is celebrated on March 8th across the world.It is a day when women are recognized for their achievements, regardless of divisions, whether national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political.

It is an occasion for looking back on past struggles and accomplishments, and more importantly, for looking ahead to the untapped potential and opportunities that await future generations of women.

The first women’s day celebration was held in the United States in 1909 and was called National Women’s Day. It was adopted by other countries and became an international celebration in 1910. Last March 8, 2012, 268 events were held in the United States to inspire women and celebrate their achievements, up from 74 events in 2011.
