A fashion show is an event put on by a fashion designer to showcase his or her upcoming line of clothing during Fashion Week. 

 A good fashion show is organized around one or more themes. The chosen theme should suit the formality of the show as well as the participants. Before choosing a theme, create a budget and know the scale of the proposed fashion show. 

If it is large and well-funded, perhaps multiple themes would be appropriate.A formal, contemporary fashion show could take its cues from a fashion magazine, such as Vogue. Researching the latest trends from the catwalk can give rise to great ideas. Some current trends include new ways of wearing denim, safari-inspired clothing and accessories and flowers or floral prints. 

Vogue also suggests some themes based around currently popular colors, such as orange, deep blue, red and an all-white palette. Other clothing themes gaining speed in the fashion world are masculine clothing for women, outfits with lots of fringe, and very long dresses. Any of these could make a very striking fashion show.For a less formal show, in which models may buy or wear their own clothing, there are many good ideas out there.
